Build a competitor battlecard in 10 minutes

A one-page, sales-ready battlecard for one competitor — positioning, where they win, where you win, landmines, objection handling — built from cited sources you can defend.

Tuned for Perplexity

First

Run this in Perplexity on Web mode, swapping in the bracketed details.

The prompt

You're helping me build a sales battlecard. My product is [YOUR PRODUCT]:
[one line on what it does and who it's for]. The competitor is [COMPETITOR].

Research the competitor and produce a battlecard with these sections. Cite
every factual claim with a source link; if you can't cite it, mark it
[UNVERIFIED] rather than stating it:

1. Their positioning — how they describe themselves, target buyer, pricing model.
2. Where they're genuinely stronger than [YOUR PRODUCT] (be honest — 3 points).
3. Where [YOUR PRODUCT] wins (3 points, each tied to a real gap in their offering).
4. Landmines — questions a rep can ask a prospect that expose their weaknesses.
5. Objection handling — the 3 objections a prospect raises about us in their
favor, and a one-line response to each.

Keep each point to one sentence. No marketing language.
Built-in guardrail: Requires a source link on every factual claim and forces uncited claims to be marked [UNVERIFIED] rather than stated as fact.

Then

Click the citations in sections 1–2 and cut anything sourced to a random SEO blog, pressure-test the "where you win" claims with a rep, and add one real win/loss quote before stamping the card "verified [date]".
