Privacy policy

AI Tools for PMs is a static publication. There are no accounts, no logins, and no personalisation. For most visitors we collect nothing at all, and the one place we do collect something is the newsletter form, where you type your own email address on purpose.

What we collect

• Nothing, if you just read. We set no cookies of our own and run no analytics product, no advertising network, and no third-party trackers or session recorders. As of the date above there is no analytics beacon on any page of this site.
• Your email address, only if you subscribe. The newsletter form posts directly to Buttondown, our email provider. They store your address so we can send The Cut. We use it for that and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone else, and every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of a request in order to serve it: IP address, the page requested, your browser's user agent, and timestamps. Cloudflare may also set essential security cookies of its own to protect the site from abuse. That processing is theirs, it happens whether or not we ask for it, and it is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not build profiles from it and we do not export it anywhere.

The MCP server

This site publishes a public, read-only MCP endpoint so you can query the catalogue from an AI assistant. It requires no account and no API key, it accepts no personal data, and it can only read the same published content you can see on the site. It cannot write anything, anywhere. We keep no query log of our own: your question is used to select an answer from a static file and is then gone. The standard Cloudflare request handling described above still applies, as it does to any page view.

If you reach the endpoint through an assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, that assistant is a separate service with its own privacy policy, and what it does with your conversation is between you and them. The same is true of /llms.txt and the JSON catalogue: they are plain public files.

Affiliate links

Our editorial policy allows affiliate links, and where one is used it is marked with rel="sponsored" and disclosed on the page. An affiliate link is an ordinary link: following it tells the destination that you came from here, and nothing about you is shared by us. As of the date above, no affiliate links are live on this site.

Children

This is a publication for working product managers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Your data, your call

If you subscribed and want out, use the unsubscribe link in any issue. If you would rather we deleted your address outright, or you want to know what we hold on you, email hello@aitoolsforpms.com and we will action it. Since the only thing we hold is a subscriber email address, that is a short conversation.

Changes

When the site's behaviour changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly widen what we collect and leave this page saying otherwise, for the same reason we publish retractions: a policy you cannot check is not worth reading.
