The deck is rarely the hard part — the thinking is. These tools earn their place by collapsing the last mile: you already know what the quarter looked like or which bet you’re pitching, and you need it in front of leadership by tomorrow morning without spending your evening nudging text boxes. The best of them take a paragraph, a doc, or a PRD and hand you a structured draft in one pass, then get out of the way so you can sharpen the argument. Judge them on two things: how good the first draft is (structure and hierarchy, not just theme), and whether the output survives contact with your company’s brand template and your leadership’s export expectations (usually PowerPoint, sometimes Google Slides). A tool that makes a gorgeous deck you can’t open in the boardroom has failed the only test that matters. Speed is the point — but a fast deck that says nothing is just a faster way to waste an exec’s time, so do the narrative work yourself and let the tool handle the pixels.

We cut Decktopus and Loom from this list. Decktopus is cheap but sits a clear tier below the picks that remain, and its free plan excludes the AI generation that’s the entire reason you’d try it. Loom is a good product that isn’t really an AI tool for PMs — it’s async video with AI bolted on, and its AI features need the top plan. Neither earned a slot when five better options cover this job.
